Questions on pgs 51, 53, 57, 58.

Pg. 51
 1. Mia's problem is she isan't sure she has enough backround knowledge to develop a more meaningful project.
2. The evidence is that the students are making disparaging comments about people from other nationalities.
3. The relative advantage is that it is hard for students to demean people who look and talk different from you when you've worked with them and gotten to know them.
4. She is so impressed with the method she is going to try it in her own classroom.

Pg. 53
1.I think Mia should have all the students evalute the rubric really good when you assign the report and she should tell them that she is going to take grade according to that rubric.
2.What they learned after the project? Would they ever want to travel there in the future? Would they like to do this same activity with another country?

Pg. 57
1. Mia would have to arrange the Computer Lab.
2.Mia would have to tell her students that they can not give there partners any personal information.They can only give there name and what they like to do. Not there home address or anything there parents would not want them to tell.
3. The students can do handout or other excerices. Or they could read and study for a project.

pg. 58
1.Next time Mia could make them proof read there parper better. She could also go over common mistakes.
2.Mia could have all there students do a survey about the project. She could make sure that a few of the students aren't slacking or something in that sort.
3.I would say it is not a good idea because it take time away from the kids when they get to learn about there culture. Also it doesn't make it there project when someone else finishes it.
