Chapter 7 pg 229 Scenarios 1 and 5.

Scenario 1
1.1) Ms. Eltona's students need to learn to not plagiarize. One must site every bit of information one finds that is not in their own words
1.2) Ms. Eltona could teach her students how to do a work cited page for what information they find. As well as, teaching them good sites to find the information at, narrowing down the important facts and putting it into your own words.
1.3) Ms. Eltona should make it clear and concise in her rubric that it will be a automatic F is she caughts anyone plagiarizing. Also, she should make the students use one book source to get them to read and not goof off and, limit the sites that they can use if they are not responsible enough to look on the Internet freely.

Scenario 5
5.1) I would recommend my students to use Bookkmarks file which keeps track of all the sites you visit.
5.2) The advantages of using Bookmarks file is that is is much faster and easier than writing it down or copying and pasteing the URLs. It just automatically does it for you.
5.3) You could assign your students to keep track of all the URLs they visit which would make it manditory to use Bookmarks file.

Google Earth

If I were teaching a foreign language class I think it would be a good idea for all the students in my class to download google earth at home or use resources at school. Then, I would assign all my students to browse around on Google Earth, look up France, and check out some up the towns and street signs when it is on street view. Then I would have every student pick one town in France that they really liked and have them research it and try to find pictures of where they would want to eat, shop, site see and ext. Then I would have them all make a PowerPoint and show the class a presentation.
